Does this game cause anybody else water eyes and even mild headaches?
SO, I am a life long gamer. I am 40 years old and love games like Diablo 3, and other isometric arpgs, as well has many various shooters and space sims.

I am used to staring at a pc screen for 18 hours a day. This is the only game I own that causes my eyes to water and if I push on I get nauseated a little.

Just wondering how many others are getting this?

I play on max settings my monitor is 3440x1440 120hz(Acer Predator Z35P) But I play all my games in ultra wide without this issue.

Still lvoe the game, just might need to buy some dramamine to keep playing lol

Some of the levels go pretty heavy on the full screen colouring effects, and it might be making you strain to see things. Abyssal depths is by far the worst at this. Have you tried turning up the gamma?

The gamma is fine, game is bright already, any brighter might blind me lol. I guess this is what it feels like to start to get old lol :cozycastondeath:

I play many games at 120 fps without issues, I dont see how lowering my fps would help. I just cant do this game for more than 45 minutes at a time, or my eyes start to tear up really bad and my head starts to pound.

Its odd, cause I play everything from Ark to 7 days to die, to dayz, to diablo 3 to boarderlands 2, to the division, to sins of a solar empire to arma 3. These games all have a varying degree of nonstop stuff on the screen, and I can play them for hours on end.

Only ROR2 causes my eyes to tear up and my head hurt. I still enjoy this game alot.

It's probably all the effects on the screen. I never get watery eyes (I ear contacts so its dry eyes and I wouldn't be able to tell whether its the games fault). But some games give me headaches. Specifically borderlands and dead space was the worst by far but I barely played it. Tf2 and left 4 dead did to a lesser degree too.

I think its just like certain types of graphics for certain people. Fortunately for me this game doesn't usually. But at like 7pm the light comes into my apartment in a weird way and the glare combined with all the in game effects makes it soI can barely see the screen. That's made my eyes hurt, but for whatever reason never my head.

i would say maybe the effects and brightness are causing this if it really does persist i would advise seeing a doctor about it can never be too sure
I reduce special FX and post processing in most fps games too. I noticed that visual clutter really puts alot of strain on the eyes. So in some regards when it comes to graphics less is more for me.

I would say its prob the hard contrast that gets you. For example with the Magma worm or when you use meteor storm, the screen gets real dark and your eyes try to process the same amount of input but become strained trying to differentiate between objects on screen.

TL;DR My eyes hurt when the colors are super saturated.

if you wear glasses, getting a pair with a blue light filter coating helps a ton. i still get the issue but thats typically just exhaustion and summer heat.

you might also try Lux i think its called, its got an eye strain reduction mode but, honestly it makes everything yellow and ugly. great for those with eyestrain issue, not so great if your trying to enjoy a game visually as its supposed to be.

I'm having the same issue, it's really hurting my eyes does anyone have a reshade mod that could possibly fix this?

Going from dark and not being able to see to being blinded by bright flashes constantly is taking a strain on my eyes. Please anything that can help

Why are you resurrecting a 4 year old thread? You dont even own the game?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
