Split screen Co-Op?

local co-op in ror was pretty fun but I could see why they don't have it in ror2 yet soley due to the need of split-screen for it to work in 3d.

Actual content takes a higher priority sure, but that doesn't mean this shouldn't be at least looked into sometime before the 1.0 update.

It's already been looked into, just isn't done yet. You can test the splitscreen beta via the following commands.

Ctrl + Alt + Tilde
test_splitscreen

Just tried it at the menu. Two cursors appear, red and blue, I can move one with my xbox wireless controller, but I can't move the other one with keyboard and mouse?

edit: if its not possible yet, a possible solution would be to emulate the controller using keyboard and mouse by installing and tweaking a few things:

This modded .dll works to allow character selection in splitscreen. The command is:

blsplitscreen

instead of:

test_splitscreen

I doubt theyll respond here.
Put it in the feedback section, go to their discord and post in the feedback channel there.

For now you have to simply live with the mods.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for this in 2023 but since the fixed splitscreen mod has been depreciated, a new one has taken it's place called "XSplitscreen" and tbh I like this better, nice GUI to set up 2-4 player splitscreen Co-op, assign profiles, controllers, and config horizontal or vertical split screen. You can find the mod here:
