Unlike something like scorched acres which is flappin huge and has a bunch of nooks and crannies that can only be checked by going to them.
I find it interesting newt alter can spawn in locked locations, considering all other loot can't. You'll never find a chest behind a locked door
No, multiple people have complained that in Distant Roost, sometimes the newt fails to spawn, seriously. Even I have checked every location it spawns in, (with Merc because he can just dash over the hills to the door, as well as jump up and skydive down to the island if the bridge is out) and even down the hole, nothing. I'm serious, play on that level a bunch and you'll see. Luckily it's only THAT level, but it feels bad not getting some other options for some items on the first level, so you have to wait for the next to adjust your set.
