Indeed, I experienced that Engineer turrets aren't immune to One Shot, and that sucks a bit. Since Engineer consistency mostly relies on the turrets, it sucks having to wait another 40 seconds to place your 2 turrets again.
Of course, once you get enough healing items, it's not a big deal, but some monsters still can One Shot your turrets (Vagrants and Golems I see you, hey), and even placing them again is no help, since they'll, well... Get One Shot again.
However, you can make up for them being killed by getting a Bandolier and picking up one of the ammo packs enemies will drop. This gives you one charge of your turret back, allowing you to side step that pesky 40 second CD.
Just as an obvious side note, try and get some distance between you and the enemies once your turret goes down and they aggro onto you. Throwing down a turret on the ground when they aggro onto you will result in it getting overwhelmed while it's setting up.
Tbh, they don't need them. If you're losing that them before you can even set them up, odds are you're getting outscaled and them already being set up will get them chewed apart. Especially when we consider Elder Leems, Greater Wisps, Mach and Cele elite wisps and the like are able to bypass their protection by having multi-hit attacks, there's even less of a reason to add it.
Run off and get them set up in a better location. If you're still losing them too quick, the end of the run is likely nigh.
