though if im play rex its moot because you want to focus on healing.
It's not only possible, but extremely easy to avoid all damage for ~7 seconds in late-game. Just run. Don't look at the enemy, don't shoot, don't stay in the red circle, just run. Use any movement abilities you have and put as much distance between you and everything that's still spawning around you as possible.
What isn't possible is healing back up via heal on damage or standing still. As long as you are attacking the enemy, you are probably getting hit by things too. That trade off keeps you below 90% and forces you to retreat anyway, at which point none of the actual healing items are worth anything. Your options there are Cautious Slug or Bustling Fungus, both of which are strictly worse than transcendence healing.
Even though it's basically luck for that protection to happen.
