Clay Templar multi-boss too difficult
I was making a decent run with REX and when i activated the teleporter in Scorched Acres, i got the 3 clay templar boss. I died in about 3 seconds, not even exaggerating. I just couldn't do anything before they popped their ''miniguns'' and wiped me out instantly.
Either nerf clay templars or make them not appear as a boss, every other ''regular enemy'' multi-boss has been manageable until this. I even beat Aurelionite being my first time in the gilded coast yesterday and that felt more fair than this.

Clay Templars in general are hugely overtuned and need to be knocked down with the nerf stick. Their burst damage is unreal and I'm currently more afraid of a regular Templar than I am any of the Elite variants and most bosses. They rev up entirely too fast to react to and have pinpoint accuracy. Elites are just an extra layer of bull crap.

I’m more afraid of a regular Templar than any boss in the game, and that really shouldn’t be.

You mean Dunestrider? If not, then I just learned something new. I've gotten the multi-boss some on Monsoon, and of course, I just had to be Mercenary. Gunning them down isn't that effective at all, especially if they are elites. Same with any boss really.
Unless you came prepared with a Blue-eyes white dragon card, (preon accumulator) then there's almost no chance of living while being rooted to the bosses.

If you see them as malachites...quit. It'll save you some seconds. With as much discrimination as this comment has, I still don't think they should be nerfed though, it's all part of the challenge. Guillotines/clovers/30 syringes should make it a fair fight.

Edit: Actually I think this is the solution to all bosses without being cheap.

I mean Clay Templars, the new enemy in Scorched acres. The guys with ''miniguns'' that spin up and then shoot like crazy. Normally they're pretty fine, but then i got them as a multi-boss and that instantly ended my run.
I dont think being fully geared up would make this fair either, because this was before a loop. It'd make much more sense if it was during a loop and I wouldn't mind it there at all, and I even think malachite is really cool for loop enemies, but these guys are outright too insane on their own like to place 3 of them at the same time as elites.

Clay Templars are easily thwarted with the Crowdfunder.

That thing has a spin up time and you'd have to keep it active before the bosses show up to really wipe them out. Even then, you likely won't kill more than one before the other 2 templars start shooting.
3 Templar elites showing up at the same time is the issue, not templars themselves.

If they have been bullying you just report to steam moderators. They will send a sternly worded email and problem solved.

i honestly think of them as mini titan lasers as they lock onto you pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ well. they either need to nerf the time they fully charge their attack, reduce their range which they start the charging, or reduce the attackspeed/damage to be able to run away.

havnt encountered these guys as an elite boss myself thankfully. but i can imagine after finding one or two of them as elites naturally late into a run.

They do appear as malachite elite bosses. Usually around stage 25-30 in drizzle. My best advice is to either spam your M2 as huntress or M2 as MULT because that will pretty much save your team.

Shouldn't you immediately be running for cover the moment you activate the teleporter anyway? Being unable to break line of sight for 3 seconds seems a bit much. Unlike, say, stone golems, they don't even deal instant damage but instead constantly chip away at your health, so even moving in and out of cover should help a lot.

I think giving Templars a longer cooldown/spin up time on their gatlings would fix most issues.

As they are right now you can barely make eye contact and you'll be immediately getting rained on.

The one thing they don't have is good tracking, if you have a couple energy drinks and run around one in a spiral you'll be dodging most shots.

they also get completely stumped by engi shields because of low mobility.
