but aside frmo something like that, I don't really know of any good moments to take it.
but to answer the OP depending on your intent it can be worth it late game, if you play well you get extra cash to blow on all kinds of random stuff including legendary chests waaaaay more easily. and the longer the game runs the higher your enemy volume goes up, the more damage you can deal, the more gold you can get.
its often pennies in the bucket but you know, a penny saved blah blah blah.
On the same tune : I hate the "contrast" effect when you use your health to send a mortar because it feels like I'm taking damage from the enemies, while it's just me.
Probably the worst Lunar item, or tied for worst with Effigy/Corpseblossom. Late game 3 gold per hit is literally nothing. Meanwhile you're taking hundreds of damage per hit and it just makes you lose all your gold immediately.
It would be somewhat okay if it was a 100% to get gold on hit, and the amount stolen scaled somehow instead of just being a flat amount.
Even corpsebloom can actually be useful. It's just very niche.
I actually found corpsebloom on rex very useful, as you don't really regen a ton of instant hp on him and the drain can stack nicely with his ultimate
