Equipment Drone picking up Fuel Array making it useless
Is there a way to make the equipment drone switch equipment? Unlocked it to see what it was with the new update and the fuel array went to the drone and I was unable to use it to unlock Rex. I tried everything to get the drone to switch items with me but nothing worked.

And when the drone dies, the equipment it held is gone..........

Yeah equip drones need some tweaking, hopefully hopoo fixes it

It's like a 3D printer. You can't choose what item to put into a 3D printer, and you can't switch it out. You're not loaning the drone your equipment, you're buying the drone with your equipment.

If your equipment is too valuable to you, don't buy the drone.

What is the point of that drone anyway? Does it use the item on CD whenever it's up?

I accidentaly did this too! It's be really poor game design if unlocking Rex wasn't one-and-done, but since carrying Fuel Arrays isn't something you're expected to frequently do I think it instead makes for a good story bout that one time you accidentally gave your fuel array to an equipment drone.

My story goes I then spent like 10 minutes hopping around elder lemurians trying to get the drone killed, but of course the array exploded in the process.

This is actually a nice little bit of roguelike gameplay in what is otherwise very much a roguelite; you can do stupid stuff and the game won't stop you. Die and learn!

It's an equipment drone. What did you expect would happen? That it would magically lead you to where REX is and unlock it for you? I'm sorry, but you gotta use your brains a little, bud.

... Maybe that's a bit mean. Lord knows I can be a massive dumbass at times, but at least I deal with it without flipping a lid. Most of the time.

i typically do it now if there is not other equipment on stage 1 besides what im carrying. mostly for the lolz.

If you unlocked the equipment done while you had the array and the drone took it like many others have experienced, when you do go to Rex the drone should at least come to Rex when you push "E" and use the Array. Obviously it's not going to show you where Rex is because that defeats the purpose, and it wasn't even what Zeddy was getting at.

I've also done the same thing where I've ran around waiting for mobs to kill the drone to see if the equipment it was carrying would drop "for science" but it doesn't. I still feel there should be a way to switch between equipment from what the drone is carrying.
