Anyone else having trouble getting the moon worshipper achievement?

Just had a perfect chance. Had to grind about 2 hours for 2 extra coins to drop ony to get a dual spawn of my least favorite boss. (clay dunestrider) He sucks me in and I get killed by a Lemurian while preforming my ultimate (as mercenary, which should make me invulnerable). What a massive waste of effort.

Maybe collect enough coins before trying for it so you're not grinding during the run. If you do the newt you can snag 3 lunar artifacts at 2 coins each in one trip, so 6 coins plus 1 for activating the newt. Then you can do that again for another 7 and theoretically get it within 2 levels, assuming the items in the bazaar restock

Tried this before and what ended up happening was I kept dying because the Newt would keep offering the same items at harder and harder levels. Went from about 40 to 0 trying to do this challenge.

Make sure you have 10 coins, preferably more, wait for a lunar pod to spawn, open it, get a newt altar, buy every item in shop, but ONLY if you would end up with 5 items with maximum 1 use item, otherwise, wait for the next shop so you don't waste more than 2 coins on a failed attempt. The items can be the same type, you would still get the challenge completed, just note that you need 5 active items on you, so stacking use items on MUL-T doesn't count for more than 1.

Thank you, I thought it had to be all five separate lunar items on one character which is an absolute nightmare to play with and rng never seems to be on your side with the newt. I usually try to aim for 12 coins minimum when I attempt this challenge. I have gesture of the drowned unlocked btw, that's what I've been using rather than an active use item. It pairs really well with the royal capacitor so I don't really have to endanger myself to deal lots of damage.

My problem was that I thought active use items didn't count towards the achievement. Seeing as they do, I have a quite a better chance of achieving this. Thank you for the info.
