What does sp stand for?

So in a game I was playing, as me and another guy where discussing an item he asked me "sp?". And I wasn't really sure how to respond as that had never come up in any other conversations I have had. I would assume it means singleplayer but that doesn't really make sense in context, anyone know?

I think he either wrote a typo, or he just had a brain lapse for a second and typed something that made no sense.

If there actually is something it means other than single player, I don't think its a common phrase.

Why wouldn't they say es or esp or español then? Why use the english way of saying it?

It could stand for "s'il vous plait" (French for "please", lit. "if it pleases You"). In this case, the player was maybe asking "may I have this item, please?"

could it be the person meant OP for overpowered and typed SP for some reason?
just guessing cuz some items in RoR2 are totally SP...ah wait OP
