Mini Rant on Magma Worm and Imp Overlords
Have you ever noticed how absolutly inept these two guys are when it comes to reaching the teleporter event or tracking you down while you are strong enough to deal with them ?

Now... sometimes you are simply not able to get those two off of your back. Its like suddenly they kick into overdrive. All of their past lifes spent in lethargy feel like they are saving up their skill for this one moment. The opportunity to be a major pain in your crown jewels.

Meanwhile you are struggling to keep them at bay while the game spawns more and more trash to pee in your cereal. No wonder Illidan was so angry for 10.000 years.

And what do you find at the end of it all ? A magma worm or imp overlord so bent on hugging you while a million lesser wisps sneeze on you, flinging you all over the place just to get the killshot dealt to you by a ninja spawned SINGLE elder lemurian vomiting fire all over your sweaty back.

I swear to god this game is some BS sometimes... >_>
I still love it though.

I've had worms who just don't come near the teleporter. Charged one up to 100 and it was still doing its own thing at the other end of the map. Didn't have any drones or anything.

I've had numerous times on Scorched Acres where it spawns like 3 Imp Overlords, it's a 50/50 on whether or not they even show up during the event. Half the time they teleport straight to me, other times I charge the tele to 99% and end up having to hunt them down individually because the refuse to teleport.
Magma Worms sure love to stall

Imp Overlords and Magma Worms seem to spawn outside of the red zone without being automatically aggro'd, yeah. Really annoying when you have to run across half the map as Merc just to slap a bich once and cheese it back to the red zone.

Worms are kinda derpy in ROR2, even after all of the changes to it. I guess their legendary status doesn't translate as well in 3D.

I think worms suck. The overloading worm is a pure time sync designed only to make it so you have to walk around and maybe look around once every 10 seconds just to make sure you don't run into it, but its the slowest boss in the game to kill because it flies away from you constantly and it moving around constantly makes it hard to kill it with stuff like wisp chains.

The regular magma worm is just an overloading worm that isn't a threat. Its just there. If you walk in a straight line it can't damage you. And if you just stop moving so it can finally catch up to you, it doesn't even really damage you.

That's why the situation is always you dying to a ninja elder lemurian or something. Because the worm can't kill you. Its crap. Its just there to take your focus, and it does that by moving around erratically so its hard to hit and you have to go chase it down to finish it off.

Basically, it current design is just a bait to make you not pay attention to actual threats. But you have to take the bait, because if you don't focus it down it just randomly runs to the other side of the map and you end up spending an extra couple minutes killing it.

I don't think imp overlords fit into the same category. They're wonky to aggro in the first place. I don't know why they don't just start aggrod on you. But once you aggro them they actually attack you and they're threatening enough that if you walk around in circles with your eyes closed they might actually kill you. I think the only change they really need is making them aggro you at the start. Worms need far more help.
