DMC 1 and 3, impossible to save the game
I've encountered a problem that prevents me from saving the game for both of these games (DMC 2 is spared from this fate it seems, the program recognizes "peak" I guess), I've already tried the solution proposed on a thread on Reddit, which consisted of using the Console Commands and running it as an admin to input:

cd "C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents"

mklink /d "My Games" "D:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\My Games"

resulting in:

symbolic link created for My Games <<===>> D:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\My Games

It did work at first and I could play and save the games properly without encountering the issues with saving. However the day after, trying to play once more the game, the problem reappeared, and I can't save it anymore. I tried applying the same solution as before, but it ended up not working as the link I've input in Console Commands still exists.

If anyone have any other suggestions, I'm happy to try, I've been at it for a few weeks now without results.

Thanks in advance

Aren't the save files stored in "%ProgramFiles(x86)%/userdata/(Steam User ID)/631510/remote"?

I'm sorry, I should have been more precise, yeah that's exactly where they are, I just checked once more, but for some reason, the game isn't able to find the path to it.

Try to go back one folder (631510) and delete remotecache.vdf. Restart Steam (top left > Steam > Exit > Launch again) then try making a save file for the games.

Just done that, on both DMC 1 and 3 was able to save, the previous data of other save files is gone however, no biggie for me tho, is there a next step to follow?

Not really. Also my bad, didn't know the old DMC save files were there.

Don't worry, what matters is that it works. I planned to stream the game from scratch to a friend to show them a few tricks, so if anything that's a blessing in disguise hahaha. I launched the game a second time, saved again and this time it worked as opposed as last time, I guess the remote cache thing was corrupted of something.

Thank you very much for your time and help! If I encounter anymore issues beyond my (meager) capabilities, I'll be sure to ask the forum and community!

I'm sorry to bother and bring back the topic, but the problem is still there, I restarted my computer and Steam today and the problem arises again, impossible to save anymore

Hmmm try setting dmc1, 2 and 3 exes to run as Admin then play the game. Also backup your saves first.

Done, gave it a shot after asking to run as Admin, the problem remains the same, every time, I get an error "Failed to save the game" every time I try to save in game

Oof probably do the last time that we did and if the save is successful, put back your backed up saves this time.

Works like last time, my previous saves were not necessary, barely did anything, but the problem is that I don't know where the DMC files are stored in, every time I go to the file "DMC saves" in remote, they're always empty
