Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

I purchased the Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on CD/DVD when it first came out and completed the game multiples times.

The saved game file is on the root of the old install directory. save0.sav.

Is it possible to import the saved game to Devil May Cry HD Collection?

I tried copying the save0.sav to the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxx\631510\remote\dmc3.sav

But when I load up the game it can't see any save files....

they are not compatible. you can always download a complete save from the internet if you want.
