DMC2 LMD Tateobesu: What the ♥♥♥♥.

Okay, this has bothered me for years. On Lucia Must Die mission 7, you're forced to... let's not say fight, but "engage" a fish demon named TATEOBESU and this mother ♥♥♥♥er will be invisible the entire time, so you can't lock-on to it and shoot it like everything else in the game.

The obvious solution is to swim all the way up into the ceiling and drop bombs and hope the fish swims into them. You can even use her hidden special move that makes a... rain of projectiles that deals more damage and is easy to time.

The problem is that Trish has literally nothing reliable to hit the fish with. You can swim around, trying to circle around it, throwing Round Trip but ultimately it's impossible to engage this "boss" like this because it is constantly hitting you with biting, slapping you with its tail and ramming into you too, Round Trip deals next to no damage and the Air Raid version deals some noticeable damage but it's practically impossible to safely swim next to this stupid thing.

But what really, really bothers me is that the damn thing turns invisible and STAYS invisible until you kill it on LMD and there's no way to make it visible again. Way back in the day I tried literally everything to kill it as Trish and I cannot figure out a single strategy that works. There are several pillars in the arena that will break but they add nothing to the fight. I thought maybe luring the fish into destroying it would inflict some damage but nothing like that happens. I tried to lure it into a corner and hope it gets stuck so you can keep slicing at it but there's no real corners in this area that it could get stuck so that didn't work.

This game is awful and everyone knows that, but this thing. This "boss" """"""""battle"""""""" is the superlative bottom of the barrel. And I keep trying to refuse it, I keep thinking, no way, there MUST be a way to kill this fish [as Trish] in an efficient way on LMD mode and I can't figure it out and nobody seems to have figured it out. You'd think someone, somewhere on the internet would have figured this out by now.

but yeah the hate is justfied kekw, just finished getting the achievements for it myself.

Most people just don't fully understand just how bad DMC2 is, including people trying to defend it lol
