DMC HD Collection Technical FAQ (Updated 3/14/2018)
”Let’s rock, baby!” – Dante, Devil May Cry

NOTICE: A patch to address the experience for monitors with a refresh rate above 60Hz is currently in development and is planned to be released in the coming weeks.

1. Can my PC run this game?
For a list of System Requirements for Devil May Cry HD Collection, please visit the game’s Store Page.

You can also run a third-party app such as System Requirements Lab[www.systemrequirementslab.com] for more information regarding compatibility with your hardware. Please note that System Requirements Lab is not officially supported nor endorsed by Capcom.

2. I’m having trouble running the game!
Please follow the steps outlined in the initial post of the Official DMC HD Collection Bug Reporting Thread to help resolve your issue.

3. Are there any specific bug fixes addressing issues from the original PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360 versions of Devil May Cry HD Collection?

The following items have been addressed:
  • In Devil May Cry, a bug where audio in cutscenes would occasionally go out of sync with the video has been fixed. The cutscene video and audio is synced properly.
  • In Devil May Cry 2, we’ve expanded the option for unlocking unlimited Devil Trigger, so there will now be no difference regardless of which regional version is being played. Once a player completes Dante Must Die/Lucia Must Die, they can use unlimited Devil Trigger by changing the language setting to Europe (+ Traditional Chinese) and then pressing Left Trigger + Right Trigger (XInput Controller) / L2 + R2 (DualShock 4 controller) at the same time when choosing a mission.
  • In Devil May Cry 3, a bug where audio in cutscenes would occasionally go out of sync with the video has been fixed. The cutscene video and audio is synced properly.
  • In Devil May Cry 3, a bug where Kalina Ann's grapple move didn't pull enemies towards the player has been fixed.

4. What kind of controllers does Devil May Cry HD Collection on PC/Steam support?
Devil May Cry HD Collection on PC/Steam natively supports the XInput (Xbox 360, Xbox One) and DirectInput (PlayStation 4) protocol for controllers. Some DualShock 4 controller users may need to toggle a setting within Big Picture Mode to enable its usage. To properly enable DualShock 4 support within Steam, please follow these steps:

Note: Prior to launching Devil May Cry HD Collection, please ensure that any external controller re-mapper programs/apps such as Joy2Key, X360CE, XPadder and DS4WINDOWS are disabled, as they may interfere with the game.

  1. In the Steam client, click the controller-shaped “Big Picture Mode” icon at the top-right corner of the window.
  2. Select “Settings” > “Controller Settings” in Big Picture Mode and checkmark the “PS4 Configuration Support” setting.
  3. Reconnect your PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller.
  4. Your controller is now ready to be used in Devil May Cry HD Collection. Please note that on-screen button prompts will still show up with a XInput layout.
  5. Optional: You can select Devil May Cry HD Collection in Big Picture mode and select “Manage Game” > “Controller Configuration” for more intricate DualShock 4 configuration.
