Windows 10 black screen on all three games?

The launcher runs fine then when i select a game i get "loading data do not turn off the power" then just a black screen and the program stops responding.

Can you get to each game's menu screen? Does it crash after starting a new game in one of them (after watching the intro of the story)?

nope can't even get to the menu screen once i select the game from the launcher the game doesn't even load before the black screen

I had an issue with Devil May Cry 3 crashing on the first level. I had to delete a file named dmc3-0.nbz, then verify the game's cache and let the whole thing download without closing steam or shutting down my PC. I'd start by trying to verify the game's cache first to see if you can detect anything that way. Of the three games, Devil May Cry 2 has the smallest nbz file, but the launch also has an nbz file that's smaller than it.
Edit: It's possible the boot video files got corrupted. For Devil May Cry 1, they're the title videos. For Devil May Cry 2, they're the cg_00 videos. For Devil May Cry 3, the Guro series videos and the title video.

i have the exact same problem. i've tryed everything online to solve it from cache to reinstall, from verify the files to the compatibility modes and nothing works.

Verifing alone doesn't always work. I found that out while looking into a similar problem with another game:

Chances are some files got corrupted. Most of each game's data is installed in a nbz like the one I mentioned about Devil May Cry 3. Start by checking the video files for each game to see if the ones I mentioned work right. Verify, let it download the whole file, the try one of the games. If that doesn't work, try doing the same with Devil May Cry 2's nbz file and let the whole file download without shutting off your PC or closing Steam, then try Devil May Cry 2 to see if it works.

i ended up "solving" the problem by reducing the screen resolution of the game... so, its no longer HD anymore -.-

After long searches on the web to solve my issue:

I had the same issue and I found that pressing the start button resolved the problem but what about the cutscenes that won't appear?

I installed all VC redist c++ from 2010 , 2012 and 2015, both x86 and x64, It won't play either too and finally, I installed direct X 11 from Microsoft downloads even the direct X 12 already installed, I saw "net.Framework will be installed now" appeared at screen, I though that's the reason of the issue and I started the game DMC1, the cutscene shows at the begin after the save loading.

Download and install DirectX Redistributable (June 2010), Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 32-bit and 64-bit.

If the cinematics do not load (black screen), the problem is due to lack of old DirectX components.
Solution: install DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from the official website:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

After that, the cinematics worked perfectly on Windows.
