DDMK style and weapon upgrades not saving
DDMK uses a separate save system to track style and weapon progress when style switching and all weapons are active. So you have to level up the styles and buy weapon upgrades all over again. I've been working towards that, but my progress in those isn't saving. I'll buy some weapon upgrades and upgrade a style. But when I save my game, these don't get saved: styles are reset to level one, and weapon upgrades are lost. I don't get the red orbs back either, so I'm just eating orbs for nothing.

Any ideas on how I could possibly fix this?

Enable "Absolute Unit" option but note that this will automatically disable on some missions.

So absolute unit fully upgrades all styles and weapons for free? It doesn't actually fix the issue, but it's a good workaround. Thanks!

Sadly yeah, DDMK 2.7 and above versions is not quite designed for first playthroughs.

Sadly yeah, DDMK 2.7 and above versions is not quite designed for first playthroughs.
I've already played though the game once and fully upgraded everything on my main save, so that doesn't really matter to me
