As someone who prefers the PS2 version for DMC3...

Is free style switching really only in the HD collection (modded or switch)? It feels wrong to just use one at a time, i was trying to level up all the styles equally but playing trickster is so boring by itself im just thinking of playing the entire game with Gunslinger and Swordmaster.

The HD version's cutscenes look so bad i think its basically unplayable so thats not an option.

Maybe i should just play God Hand again.

It's also available for the standalone version of DMC3 (which is more faithful in some ways than the HD Collection DMC3), but it's been a while since its style switching mod last update and I doubt it'll be updated in the future.
I don't think there is any style switching mod for the (emulated) PS2 version, but I could be mistaken. It might be doable with Action Replays and stuff like that.

There was one in the PS2 that was made by Serpentiem as well that uses a script tool and works on the JP version but I'm not sure if the links are still active here. I can't check since I'm not registered there.

Also I'm not sure if PCSX2 supports AR codes since I'm looking for those Joker commands as well or might as well experiment to make one for a bit. When I say "Joker", it's like you reassign a button and make it function differently via code.

It might have been easier if DMC3 didnt use every single button on the controller, i dont know who looked at the dpad and though "yeah lets put some menus there"
