Style Switcher mod is outdated and problematic
So, I've attempted to download and install the Style Switcher mod via Nexusmods, and I found the installation to be problematic; it requires you to download and install an outdated source of Visual C++ from 2015 but it can't go through the process because a newer version is already available. A simple solution might be to just uninstall the newer version and install and the older version--but why not have a more updated version of the mod?

But that's not the only issue I have with the mod, as my second issue comes in when you have to download and install something associated with Xinput. But when I attempted to install it, my PC warned me of the harm and prevented from installation. I didn't get a "allow anyway" option, but I'm still not so sure about allowing it to run with such a warning.

I know there is also a DDMK Style Switching mod--I don't know rather if that's a stand-alone or if it requires the Style Switcher mod by Serpentiem, but I can't seem to find it on the site anymore which is really odd. I mean it was literally just there a moment ago today, but I look again and I can't find it.

If I have nothing to worry about, or you have any tips for me, I'm all ears--or eyes in this case. I really wanted to use this mod to be able to switch styles on the fly, but also to test out the More Moves mod.

the style switcher mod on nexus is for the other dmc3 on steam (the one with super trash port). The style switcher for this game is DDMK (last version from 28 october 2021)

Just download from github (https://github.com/serpentiem/ddmk/releases) on assets section

I think I'll just get the game on Switch when I get one and mess around with the Free Style mode.

I had the same problem. I checked the version that's on nexus and one of the comments had a link to a google drive that has the missing file, which will also work for the DDMK from GitHub. Try looking there.

I've tried installing it, but when I open up any game, it exits the entire HD Collection. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to delete all the game files then restart the game?

Nice necro of a 2 1/2 year old thread. should've made your own.

that aside, add dmc1/2/3.exe as non steam games to your library and then use those entries to start whatever dmc you want to play. only downside here is you cant access lucia's disc in dmc2 as it doesnt have a seperate exe and has to be started from the launcher as far as i know.

They might be like "Nah they'll just use Suyu to play Switch version".
