Uh how in the world do you jump out of the "gears of madness" room in DMC3 Virigil Mission 12?

This mission is clearly broken Vergil can't jump kick on anything to reach the ledge you need to in order to progress. I watched some videos online and was like HOLY CRAP HOW DO I GET AN ENEMY PERFECTLY THERE. Does anyone have a tip for me?

I have to put the game down now because it seems impossible for me to do it. In PS2 days I didn't get this far with Virgil but of course would have found it impossible then too.

you should be able to teleport upward onto the ledge, if you have Dark Slayer at level 2. (I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get to that point without leveling your style at least once) If you run there fast enough you can do it before the enemies spawn and not have to worry about lock-on. Otherwise, if you die in the room, it respawns you right by the exit door.
