The Deal with DMC2 is that it's was pretty rushed and basicly didn't have a director for most of it's production, and it shows.
I personally feel there is fun to be had playing DMC2, but it requried effort on the Players part to get good at the game. Like here is me getting an S rank on Mission 3

I find actually going for a good style rank in Combat to be fun. problem is there nearly nothing in DMC2 that actually encourage the player to play in this way. You can easily beat the entire game by just standing far away from enemies and spamming your guns at them until they die. that's what most people end up doing, so the majority of people don't like DMC2.
Every other DMC game on the other hand, makes getting better at the game a natural process, and they become more fun Naturally. DMC2 doesn't explain it's combat pretty much at all, so it's on the individual to look up and learn about it's gameplay on their own.
they would love 2 how fickle they are....
God forbid guns actually do some damage in a DMC game....
At least Trish isn't payed DLC and is unlockable if you don't like Lucca.
1 doesnt suck. Having just played 1 and then 2 back to back i can tell you that 1 is infinitely better than 2. And probably my favorite other than 5 (havent played 3 yet)
