dmc2 walking bug: gamebreaking
wish i hadnt played all the way through the first dmc, otherwise i could get a refund. cant even play dmc2 because of how fequently dante will go stop running and just slowly saunter across a room. Pretty easy fix, bind a button for always running but im sure thats never going to happen with a port this old.

anyways i wouldnt buy the game since the middle 30% is a useless heap of gameplay.

well for one thing Nobody like DMC2 anyway it's considered the black seep of the fanchise, most people skip 2 entierly and go straight to 3.

I'v only heard about one other person getting that problem, I think it's a controller compatablity issue, not a DMC2 issue. What contoller are you using

the same xbox360 controller ive used for a hundred other games, never had an issue with it.

I have an idea of whats causing the issue, and again the easiest option would have been to just expose an option to always run instead of walking.

also, regardless of how beloved the game is or isnt, i bought it in a bundle and i expect it to be equally as playable as the other two titles. im just stating that as it currently stands, this bug makes the game unplayable.

Well trust me when I say you really aren't missing much, DMC2 has little story, and Capcom has ignored the games existace for 16 years, maybe you can fix your problem by using big picture mode, to bind WSAD to your control stick.

or you can skip to DMC3, it's a prequel, and allot of people consider to be one of the best games of all time.

now i dont feel so bad. maybe i will just walk my way through the game, even though its going to take like 3x the regular playthrough time.

I mostly experienced this in dmc3 of this collection (didn't test it in the other games though), but a controller replacement fixed it, was using a corded Xbox One controller.

Interesting, for me it was the other way around. I got this issue while using a corded x360 controller and I solved it using a Xone controller.
