I'v only heard about one other person getting that problem, I think it's a controller compatablity issue, not a DMC2 issue. What contoller are you using
I have an idea of whats causing the issue, and again the easiest option would have been to just expose an option to always run instead of walking.
also, regardless of how beloved the game is or isnt, i bought it in a bundle and i expect it to be equally as playable as the other two titles. im just stating that as it currently stands, this bug makes the game unplayable.
or you can skip to DMC3, it's a prequel, and allot of people consider to be one of the best games of all time.
now i dont feel so bad. maybe i will just walk my way through the game, even though its going to take like 3x the regular playthrough time.

Interesting, for me it was the other way around. I got this issue while using a corded x360 controller and I solved it using a Xone controller.
