Playing DMC with a K/M combo is like drinking a beer with a spoon.
It works, but it's needlessly hard and nowhere near as fun as playing with a controller.
First, DMC1 and 2 have fixed/calculated camera angles and therefore the mouse is useless as you can't use it to move the camera. In DMC3 is some very specific moments like bosses you can turn the camera around, but that's about it.
In a nutshell, playing DMC HD Collection on PC is like playing Resident Evil HD Remaster on PC, but way more demanding gameplay wise, with quick dodges and lot of mid-air combos.
I'm not judging, but it's deffinitely not recommended.

The same video over and over and over again. I'm begining to think it's fake.
I never said it was impossible, I said it was not mean for it and far from being as fun as playing it a controller.
I'm sure you can find someone playing Starcraft 2 with a gamepad or even someone playing call of duty with a guitar hero controller, it doesn't mean it's fun.
In any case, for a person playing those games casualy, DMC is way better played with a gamepad.
The problem is a lot a self-titled elitists don't even want to touch gamepads because they don't want to "fall as low as console peasants". The thing is, it has nothing do with the machine. Some games are meant to be played with a K/M, some are meant to be played with a gamepad, and some are meant to be played with a dance mat.
I'm not judging people who want to force K/M with all their games, but in the case of DMC... it's useless to come back here to say we didn't warn you.
No one is arguing keyboard is better for playing, but clearly some people prefer it and they do just fine.
This is not what I meant, I don't need to now the keyboard controls to know this is legit. I mean, why do people keep showing this viideo over and over again? It's the only one on the internet or what?
I don't doubt players can do it with KB&M, but come on now. that footage looks .. off really, not to mention it's supposedly of DMC 4 (which isn't apart of this collection)
If you think it looks fake, then try playing like that yourself. You'll understand, even if you play slowly.
The controls are all iver keyboard instead of givibg u simple locations lumped together they throw keys all over board
