if you want to go for the no Damage runs you'll looking at SB. Which is an S rank with bonus score for taking no damage. Those bonus scores nets you an extra 2000 red orbs.
You can check this FAQ page for a pretty good breakdown of it:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/445101-devil-may-cry/faqs/15488
So to take "S" can I get it even taking damage? In other words, what is the game based on to get "S"?
Ah if i understand now, for get the Rank "S" need kill enemies and get the Red Orbs?
Yeah, it's a balancing act between time, damage taken, and red orbs.
Becuz i look the video for see how the game judge the rank "S" and see that guy take much much damage but receveid the Rank "S", i do the same mission and don't take damage but receveid "B".
That means you didn't do as well with orbs or time.
The time was 6:20 minutes the first mission.
Then you were short on the orbs. If the source is accurate, you need to aim to go over the orb threshold for that level, which is 400.
Yeah i know that but if revisting the same areas the problem is not Orbs but the time now XD
Don't expect to get a S ranking with a new game. Just enjoy the game, And try to attempt it once you've beaten the games at least one time. Tip Ifrit is very good with for stylish points and orbs, since it deals great damage on slower enemies ;)
