Locked at 1080p
So my game is locked at 1080p resolution. I have a 1440p monitor, but the game only lets me go up to 1080p. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Go to Steam\userdata, normally under C:\Program Files (x86).

Type 631510 in the search bar, and there will be either one or two folders named that. One of them holds screenshots for the game, one has save data. Find the one with save data and open options.sav with Notepad. You can change "width" and "height" to 2560 and 1440, respectively. After that, hit Ctrl S and close the document. You shouldn't have to change it again.

I also forgot to mention, it has a different directory if you're playing on Twitch. It'll be under Documents\My Games\Devil May Cry HD Collection if you're playing over there.

1080p is a format, not a resolution.

1080p is the most common name of 1920x1080. Stop being so pedantic. Just like saying 4K, or 1440p.

You can also use the launcher fix: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/DMCHD.LauncherFix
It lets you choose any resolution supported by your monitor directly from the game's launcher.

My fear is that this may render the game unplayable depending on how updates roll out. That's why I recommend a more "vanilla" approach.

I highly doubt it tbh.

Backing up all affected files would get around that concern.

The first patch should address this.
