How to beat Nightmare and his little electric brothers?
Must've been stuck on Nightmare since one week or so already. Starting to get annoyed by it to the point that I honestly just want to quit the entire game because running the same corridors over and over again just to get your ass beaten in five seconds isn't very fun anymore.
I liked the game as it was so far and honestly Nelo was already a hassle but it was beatable by just evading him and attacking when possible.

Not so much for this giant pile of human waste. From a friend I already know and understand that you have to hit the buttons on the wall so that it exposes its "cores" or whatever. The floating blue balls. You then have to repeatedly beat the crap out of its cores with the burning fists but charging the attack because somehow he gets stronger the more often you hit him or something.

My problem with him is that normal bosses offer you a window where they don't attack you so you have time to attack. Not with this guy, he just constantly throws maggots, machineguns and a giant laser that eats about half of your health in one hit at you. Not to mention that it keeps moving. So it becomes super difficult for me to even get on his back to the core without taking a substantial amount of damage. By the time I am up there, the core already gets back into the goo.

What's also frustrating is that electric guy that's just 2 rooms before him. He splits into three when you hit him and everyone must be killed at once, otherwise they will just indefinetly respawn. They have very often just ganged up on me and killed me but when I kill them, I will at the very least lose half of my entire health bar which isn't that great for entering a bossfight either.

To get on top of him, my strategy is to run up beside him towards his rear, and then jump and kick towards him using Ifrit (flame gauntlets). I also try and taunt him whenever possible. I rely on the DT heavily, and you can tank the hits while in it and attacking. On DMD, you can't afford to lose health, but on Normal that should work just fine. When jumping, make sure to let go of the analog stick. If you're in DT, then forward + attack while in the air will do a ground pound, consuming lots of DT.

Alternatively, you can use Alastor and the pistols. You hit the button on the wall, continuously shoot or taunt him until you have enough DT, then you use Air Raid (when you fly in the air and shoot electricity) to damage his cores. This will break the cores, making it take much longer to beat him, but it's the easiest option.

The electricity guys can be easily beat with 2 DT double jump downward slashes. I find that to be a quick way to deal with them. When they're in their bat form, then it's even easier - 2 DT grenade launchers will take them out.

You have zero yellow orbs, and those allow you to simply restart from the last room. Buying those, or cheating and getting them by other means would likely make the game more enjoyable.

I just tried it again today but also used Holy Water once, so I beat him on my first try. Now I even ended up beating the rest of the game in one day as well. gg

Thanks for the help.
