Double Speed, asynchronous Video/Audio, Weird looking cutscenes
I have this HD collection for PS3, but was looking forward to try it on PC.
I have an 144 hz Monitor and when I started the game, it was unplayable.
The game runs at double speed (or more), the cutscenes have asynchronous audio and video. Also they look very pixelated.
I've read many others have these issues.
Did somebody came up with a solution, other than disabling 144 hz mode?
I've never seen such an unoptimized and incompatible game, and this one has been out there for a while....

Either you don't know the definition of optimised, or you never played a trully unoptimized game.

The game runs at double speed (or more), the cutscenes have asynchronous audio and video.
.You could've made some effort to search. Not only there have been workarounds that issue, but they aslo deployed a patch about it on steam. But you don't seem to be playing it on steam.

Also they look very pixelated.

Depends what you are talking about. Either you are talking about the game resolution, and it's only up to you, or you are talking about the textures, which would mean, in that case, you didn't even bother to gather some info about the game. There is plenty of screenshot showing that these haven't been remastered in anyway, they have just been upscaled.

Enable Vsynch in your graphic card's control panel and it fixes the speed by locking the framerate to 60. As for the grainy pre-rendered cutscenes, unfortunately, that is what happens when cutscenes aren't done in-engine as the uncompressed original FMVs are rarely kept post production.
