I really like the way the criminals escaped from the police, using drugs to fake the death
I found the ending to be pretty good mainly as it subverted the whole 'happy ending' thing, and I think it was better for it.
I will say though that the sudden appearance of CGI cutscenes in like the last 1/3 of the the game was unexpected.
I agree to what you said, they probably had a good reason for that. The rest of the game had a very different approach where you could do more.
But also, honestly both characters had been through a lot of risky situations, and then they decided to split so it became even riskier in many ways.
And the fact that Tim said "i had a feeling it would not be the last time we see each other" clearly indicates a sequel + no one actually dies. They are both in serious danger + pain. but neither is dead when the cutscene ends.
