Report a translation problem
The initial room shape will be very jagged, but if you smooth enough corners in the right pattern, the room will become nicely diagonal. You'll have to play around with it and have a go.
Easiest pattern to start with is probably a 3x3 room with 1x1 corridors at the center of each of the walls. Smooth enough corners and the corridors will blend smoothly with the room and it will look entirely diagonal.
Then use that knowledge and scale up to whatever room or shape you like.
