Disabling all buffs and having each encounter slow down to a sluggish pace just turned me away completely from it.
This is coming from someone who thrives on these challenges.
And I'm only speaking about common enemies here. 3rd and 4th Boss have some much health it's insane. That's like trying to kill a wild boar with a toothpick all the while trying to avoid being ramed !
Allowing us to pick up the bonuses would have made it an interesting challenge, but this ? No way.
Its like playing all 3 dark souls with 1 hp and a copper sword and if you die you reset all progress.
Sure it makes for a good youtube video and it is impressive but its not fun.
Fighting the dragon boss for a WHOLE 20 minutes is not fun. and i cant imagine how long the final boss would take.
A actual fix for that "challenge" would be to get us to get one shot after any damage but allow us to buy any items (and ban does that gives health).
Now That would be a true challenge that stays fun and quit hard
Sadly deved disappeared after finishing the game so yeah :/
I don't remember the fight with the dragon being this long. Make sure the dragon hits the pillars when he attacks, he will take a lot of damage.
I think the achievement has been added before the update which added the fourth act. With some luck and lot of patience due to the immense health of the monsters, I can imagine being able to somehow finish the third act even when the boss himself will be painful. But completing the fourth act and beating Eve? I am fairly sure this is impossible.
If they intend to keep it, they should add either reduce some of the monsters health and behaviour or maybe give some other passives/progress to make this actually possible even when not entertaining.
The fairest idea would be to remove the fourth act completely for this mode as it was not there as the achievements was initially introduced. Furthermore, they could give "pure" humans the ability to see the stairs room so they can beeline there easier. From a lore perspective it would even make sense if the third boss does not fight the player character because he did not give in to the mutations. He could just avoid the fight and admit his failure.
Easiest way would be simply removing the achievement though because honestly I can't imagine someone being able to beat Eve without cheating:

This achievement was released BEFORE the DLC, which means there is a version of the game out there beating the third boss is sufficient.
Also, if you see in the speedrun.com of mana spark there is a guy that found a way (an exploit alledgedly) to massively increase attack speed with the crossbow.
I think both of these things will make this run more manageable.
I've been trying to switch foods after getting the spicy burrito hoping to maybe find a glitch in the game to collect items despite the burrito but that lead to nowhere.
(After click on burrito food, you can quickly change food, or characters mid-way of the screen closing. The end result is the character could be changed but the food is always the burrito)
I manage to beat the 3rd boss with the crossbow girl (after dozen of attempts), but my patience ran out soon after, since almost all enemies after the 3rd boss can either fire (too) many orbs or spawn other monsters to chase you.
And yes, the achievement was created before the DLC, but that also means it should be doable without the passive skill (freezing enemies with the crossbow girl) that was introduced along with the 4th boss.
Already tried using a previous depot, but without the freezing ability it didn't go well...

Maybe there is an exploit to be found but The guy that found it never said how it was possible... (Hopefully it isnt outright cheating with cheat_engine and could be an exploit within the games confines)
I still don't think it's possible. You do X amount of DPS to the Dragon. It's not enough to kill him before the Flames cover, quite literally, the entire room. Once they do, you take Y DPS. If X DPS isn't enough to kill the Dragon before Y DPS kills you, the fight is impossible. And according to my math, this is true. There's no need to speculate.
If you really want to beat it, use CheatEngine. There's no other way.
The Dragon can be easily killed, no matter the character.
Make sure to bait him into charging the pillars by standing in front of it and avoiding his charge, it will deal a fair amount of damage and will stun him, allowing you to hit him 2-3 times
