Spicy Burrito
Has anyone gotten this? Having done all the other achievements I took a look at this one, but it doesn't seem possible - the second boss basically has a timer on it. The longer the fight goes, the more flames there are in the intermissions, until they become impossible to dodge. From what I can tell, without any buffs of any kind, it isn't possible to beat this timer with any of the characters.

Who do you use for the run?

I haven't gotten to the dragon boss with spicy burrito, but I just checked in normal mode and the flames are very possible to dodge. I must have let the fight go on for close to 6-7 minutes without taking a single hit before I shut the game down. They do, however, get progressively more difficult, though it's not that bad so long as you can spot the safe points as soon as the flames appear.

1 hit mode would've been more than enough to make it a challenging and fun experience at the same time.
Disabling all buffs and having each encounter slow down to a sluggish pace just turned me away completely from it.
This is coming from someone who thrives on these challenges.

The dragon isn't that hard in the first place, I got to the dragon boss almost beat it before I died first time with spicy burrito but I still don't think the game can be completed with the burrito, the 4rd and 4th boss is too hard to be made even harder.

Yes, this so-called "challenge" is impossible past the dragon Boss. I can reach this Boss pretty often, and defeat it everytime, but they are too many enemies after that, and they all have too much health.

And I'm only speaking about common enemies here. 3rd and 4th Boss have some much health it's insane. That's like trying to kill a wild boar with a toothpick all the while trying to avoid being ramed !

Allowing us to pick up the bonuses would have made it an interesting challenge, but this ? No way.

The challenge Isnt *impossible. Its just way way overly tedious.

Its like playing all 3 dark souls with 1 hp and a copper sword and if you die you reset all progress.

Sure it makes for a good youtube video and it is impressive but its not fun.

Fighting the dragon boss for a WHOLE 20 minutes is not fun. and i cant imagine how long the final boss would take.

A actual fix for that "challenge" would be to get us to get one shot after any damage but allow us to buy any items (and ban does that gives health).
Now That would be a true challenge that stays fun and quit hard

Sadly deved disappeared after finishing the game so yeah :/

Devs just released a new game called "Nova Lands", so they are focused on it at the moment. I went to the discord server for this game and asked them about Mana Spark, but sadly they never answered.

I don't remember the fight with the dragon being this long. Make sure the dragon hits the pillars when he attacks, he will take a lot of damage.

As someone mentioned in another thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/630720/discussions/4/3101264555066948704/#c3487500856970363558

I think the achievement has been added before the update which added the fourth act. With some luck and lot of patience due to the immense health of the monsters, I can imagine being able to somehow finish the third act even when the boss himself will be painful. But completing the fourth act and beating Eve? I am fairly sure this is impossible.

If they intend to keep it, they should add either reduce some of the monsters health and behaviour or maybe give some other passives/progress to make this actually possible even when not entertaining.

The fairest idea would be to remove the fourth act completely for this mode as it was not there as the achievements was initially introduced. Furthermore, they could give "pure" humans the ability to see the stairs room so they can beeline there easier. From a lore perspective it would even make sense if the third boss does not fight the player character because he did not give in to the mutations. He could just avoid the fight and admit his failure.

Easiest way would be simply removing the achievement though because honestly I can't imagine someone being able to beat Eve without cheating:

I believe it is possible, I have been trying and have gotten to the 3rd boss, I have also done testing and have a strategy for Eve which should make her easy if you get past the 1st phase. the 3rd boss is a lot more complex, the main key is the crossbow guard's permanent upgrade which allows you to petrify enemies, so in rooms with lots of enemies you can stun them and take them out one at a time, it is incredibly tedious especially with the amount of rooms you have to go through in the 3rd and 4th areas, but I am going to try.

Can I add you? I'm looking into steam charts and might be able to find some stuff to help us.
This achievement was released BEFORE the DLC, which means there is a version of the game out there beating the third boss is sufficient.
Also, if you see in the speedrun.com of mana spark there is a guy that found a way (an exploit alledgedly) to massively increase attack speed with the crossbow.
I think both of these things will make this run more manageable.
I've been trying to switch foods after getting the spicy burrito hoping to maybe find a glitch in the game to collect items despite the burrito but that lead to nowhere.
(After click on burrito food, you can quickly change food, or characters mid-way of the screen closing. The end result is the character could be changed but the food is always the burrito)
redfang 23 AGO 2024 a las 2:05 a. m.
If any of you can find a way to make this doable, even with an exploit, I'll be glad to help and test it !
I manage to beat the 3rd boss with the crossbow girl (after dozen of attempts), but my patience ran out soon after, since almost all enemies after the 3rd boss can either fire (too) many orbs or spawn other monsters to chase you.

And yes, the achievement was created before the DLC, but that also means it should be doable without the passive skill (freezing enemies with the crossbow girl) that was introduced along with the 4th boss.

Already tried using a previous depot, but without the freezing ability it didn't go well...
warking 23 AGO 2024 a las 4:11 a. m.
I might be naive but "maybe" There is a depo that has the skills without the 4th boss?

Maybe there is an exploit to be found but The guy that found it never said how it was possible... (Hopefully it isnt outright cheating with cheat_engine and could be an exploit within the games confines)

I still don't think it's possible. You do X amount of DPS to the Dragon. It's not enough to kill him before the Flames cover, quite literally, the entire room. Once they do, you take Y DPS. If X DPS isn't enough to kill the Dragon before Y DPS kills you, the fight is impossible. And according to my math, this is true. There's no need to speculate.

If you really want to beat it, use CheatEngine. There's no other way.

The Dragon can be easily killed, no matter the character.

Make sure to bait him into charging the pillars by standing in front of it and avoiding his charge, it will deal a fair amount of damage and will stun him, allowing you to hit him 2-3 times
