Can anyone get an Xbox Gamepad to work with this game?

The game has gamepad support, but the configuration doesn't seem to recognize my Xbox gamepad. It tries to calibrate it, but when it asks me to push the cooresponding buttons, nothing happens.

Find and delete/rename prefs.dat in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dreamfall the longest journey\

Then start the game and reconfiguring the gamepad should start working (did for me).

Thanks. I'm actually not sure what the problem was, but I restarted the game and it started to work properly.

Where did you assign the sneak button? Dreamfall won't recognise my triggers on the Xbox360 Controller. Tried using a DualShock 3, but it didn't even respond.

I won't be able to use xbox wireless controller for windows in this game, any suggestion please how to make this work. I have Windows 8 x64 by the way, any input is much appreciated.

I've never used Wireless. I hate dealing with charging and batteries. Wired XBox360 controllers seem to work fine though, so I would assume that a wireless one will also work fine. You might have to re-install your controller drivers from the XBox support site, or maybe re-install the game. (Backup your save files in a different place first.)
