I believe the phone version has coop though. or i know SOME game had coop options, which was basically... ghost clicking? kinda, so clicking in your game also clicked in your friends, i quite like the idea personally and would love to see it incoperated, especially with a price tag they need to have something with quite a bit of oompf to make them stand out from all their free competitors, including clicker heroes 1.
Hard to say what it does and doesnt need. Im just saying multiplayer would be neat, after all they attempted it with guilds. Which ended up in a bit of a failure but still. Being that its an idle game will mean traditional MP might not work and making it too complicated will make it strafe away from the simplicity of clickers.
But again its a fact that its a 30 dollar title competiting in a free to play market, several mobas has tried to do the same thing an failed (their problem being requiring multiplayer ofc) so they will need to do something which distinguishes the game from the other competitors, this could be one thing.
And yes they will need to stand out if there is no virtual difference from clicker heroes one people will just stay at that except for those of us with no real problem spending money on luxury.
It depends. Certain games with microtransactions makes it a drag to beat them because they want you to buy stuff. Something like energy systems in mobile games kinda. In a clicker there isnt much reason to pay since the entire game is just getting bigger numbers, but there is always the allure of "well if i got this one more autoclicker i could....." which you can get for real money.
So i think it will be interesting to remove that entire mechanic of "i can skip stuff with money" because then they can make it more interesting acquiring stuff with time since they dont have to balance time vs money for everything. If that makes sense.
