Game stuttering?

Before I would always play on max ultra settings no problem.

Took a break for a few months and now my game stutters every few seconds in game which makes fighting impossible to win.

Anyone else having this ?

And is there a setting I need to change to fix it?

I've seen quite a few complaints about this recently that turned out to be caused by an update to Nvidia Shadowplay that affects older UE4 games. So first thing I would try is turning that off, or any other screen recording software.

Other than that, the usual recommendations are to update your graphics driver (potentially using DDU to fully remove before reinstalling), and performing a hard reset of Mordhau config files.

All of your settings and caches are stored in the following folder:

%localappdata%\Mordhau\

You can try making a copy of that folder and store it elsewhere, then delete the original. The game will recreate the files, but you'll lose your graphics settings, keybinds and other settings, as well as clearing any cache files. Your mercenaries are stored in there too, but should be restored from Steam Cloud Sync, but if it doesn't, they're contained with the Game.ini file in the %localappdata%\Mordhau\Saved\Config\WindowsClient folder. Keybinds are in the Input.ini
