No sound at all in matches

[Peep n' Creep]

From what I can tell, the sound of player movement - myself or other people - completely cuts out my own game sound. If I stand still by myself I can hear ambiance but moving, attacking, jumping, all that sort of thing makes me go silent. Because there are so many people in a multiplayer match, this means that from the moment I spawn to the moment I die and return to the spawn screen I have no sound at all.
This is a real pain in the ass and I would appreciate some advice, because no sound makes this game nigh unplayable and a lot less enjoyable to play with friends.

Thanks for this! Not only did this fix my sound issue with this game but with Mutant Zero also.

For people who have had this issue it was a problem on my end as I was using bluetooth headset and my computer was defaulting to the handsfree version not the stereo version of the bluetooth headset

Go to sound in the control panel and disable every device you dont use.
