Unplayable because of high ping
I came back after playing at launch and noticed when I play on any server my ping sky rockets. My ping comes from normal to the 140s to 180s making the game lag and makes it unplayable. This even effects the menus. Anyone know a fix to this or does this need to be fixed by the devs?

Btw I play mostly on official servers.

64 player servers are a complete mess and lag like crazy. Ping spikes, packet loss...
Odd, I was having these problems on nearly-full 48 players servers. Can't imagine what 64p would be like for me.

This happens to me on Private and Official servers too from my local area with the occasional high packet loss, it's very irritating.
I have “high packet loss” on my screen more often than I don’t. Servers are stupid broke right now. I’ll have 9 ping on Rainbow Six but 150+ ping on Mordhau on local official servers
Betwenn the Steam forum and Reddit I've seen countless of this posts. My connection is actually perfectly fine but I lag in this game too.

When will the devs address this issue????
I managed to solve this by installing some windows updates packages, by reinstalling and by playing when nobody else is at home
Yeah the high packet loss is unbearable. Happens on both official and unofficial. Worked fine a couple weeks ago.

Yep. It's become impossible to play the game. Every server is 98 to 104 ping even in local areas on servers.

I've done everything I felt could fix it. Uninstalled and reinstalled, verified cache, called my ISP, ran internet speed, checked other online games, opened firewalls, added exclusions for the game and steam as a whole.

Nothing works. I'm fed up with it. It didn't always have ping like that, so I have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue whats happened but i've given up. Maybe the devs know about it and will fix it, maybe not. It's really a shame because the game is fun.

This lag spike also happened to me in Insurgancy Sandstorm where the ping would sky rocket. Though it wasn't as bad and was playable, others in the lobby had high pings in the TAB menu.
Im in the UK on BT infinity, i swapped out BT's own home hub for another more expensive router, this has solved all pike spike issues i was experiencing, Ive player for a couple of days since replacing the router and had no issuies whatsoever. Mordhau was the only online multiplayer game that i had this trouble with so i assumed it was a result of the last patch. Just posting this in case anyone else is in a similar situation.
I now lag super hard when using any voip service
It seems that the problem is fixed when the new update came out on June 8th and i can play again without problems. I don't know if this is still a problem for others. If so I hope the devs can fix that.

It's still a problem for me. I've tried uninstalling steam changing dns servers all types of connection settings. It's not an us problem it's a them problem.
Yeah it's worse now I think. Before I would go from 60ms to ~130-300.
Now it's up in the 500s and 1000s.
Since hte most recent update, it seems every other day I'll get frequent high ping spikes from my normal 50-70 up to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 480 or so, and high packet loss. It's frequency can make the game literally unplayable, unless you count bumbling off ledges while trying to stab an archer in the back and missing every hit and parry playing.
I'm still having this issue on official servers, my ping goes from around 60 to over 500; packetloss goes through the roof as well. This is just ruining frontline for me. I've pinged google.com repeatedly and never get more than 30 ping or any packetloss, nor do I lag on any other online games. Something is janky with the servers or maybe the netcode, I am not the only one having these issues by far; seeing people teleporting due to them lagging is a common sight on frontline servers.
I really hope a bunch of people stop playing because of this issue so the devs realize something is terribly wrong with the net code and fix it, but i fear that's the only way its gonna get addressed.
Had bad packetloss/ ping spikes today every 5 seconds or so, on a duel server with only 32 people. Something is hella wrong with the servers or the netcode, and it seems more severe every day. The 48-player frontline servers are even worse, and 64-player servers? Forget about it.

Ping to google.com averages 20 or so with 0 packetloss. Performance on all my other online games is fine. But my ping on Mordhau spikes up to 500 on all servers on a wired ethernet connection. The official servers down in LA are basically unplayable a lot of the time, sometimes I can play on a 3rd-party server for a little while before it starts filling up and the ping spikes start. This, combined with the piss-poor framerate on frontline even at lowest graphics, is making it really hard to have fun while playing.

There's no way around it, this game is badly optimized for certain setups and there is some issue causing major connection problems across all servers.
