What do people think of Epic games making the game free

personally i think its great but its impossible to get into a server and i doubt many of the new players will last long with veterans stomping on them

A second chance for the game. Though knowing the gremlin players that lurk in the community they'll take any chance to pubstomp, as it's probably their only opportunity to appear skilled.

Second chance? This game has only a few servers in total and they decide to give it for free for one week and especially to the Epic? Worst idea that could happen EVER. Giving it for free for a few days on Steam would be much more clever idea. Game is on her knees right now. Cannot find a match for freaking 30 mins. Thanks Epic!

So they knew that epic would have it free for a week, and instead of investing in more servers, they do nothing, and epic is to blame ? Hell, epic is the reason that the most number of populated servers isn't 5 currently.

Well it's unfortunate that their incompetence also cost community growth, i'm not sure how they didn't think that they would need more and better servers when the game is going free for a week on a large gaming platform. Most players wouldn't have stayed anyways, but most likely even more didn't get to play yet.

I asked the same thing on discord and a dev/CM/mod (idk what any of their gang colors are) says "How could they have known?" LOL even they expect their own game to fail

Dont matter to me kinda fun for the first 3-4 days but killing noobs is only fun for so much time before it gets old. And the brain rot from not fighting anyone over level 100 so fighting 0 drags 1 feint that is a person pressing Q the second there weapon starts and no accels is boring

I agree with both of you guys, also for it being out for quite a while and It's still 30 bucks without having any deals on it recently when other games have had pretty good ones, they'd be able to have more active players if they had done a little more. Epic should've given more than the one time free to try to get it more well know and a lot of players that might not have heard about it. Still player numbers dont go anywhere near Chivalry 2.

Getting harder and harder to find a working invasion server each night. Why waste dev time on that stupid horde rubbish when we could be getting a new map and mode? Or how about alternate invasion for old maps, instead of those stupid and mostly empty new horde maps? Going through the ice cave on Mountain Peak was a great idea, yet somehow they fail at adding it to the mode most people use.

The way I see it, it's empty 6+ months after Totenwald. It will only get players for another 6 months when they add another map. Then dead again.

Can we not add another stupid horde mode next year halfway through and get two maps... so we can actually play. People are BORED. The best this game has to offer is TDM... BORING.

Do something interesting. Not hard. New map. New mode.
