Where are the female characters at?

I've come back to Mordhau after a long break now that I have a better computer and completely expected the models and voices to be added to the game by now.

Did the devs cave to the toxic crybabies who couldn't stomach the idea of having women in a fictional Medieval combat game? If so, that's very disappointing :/

I suspect they just realised how much work it is. Every single piece of armour would need to be duplicated and modified, new animations, new voices, new faces, hair etc, it's a huge amount of work. They could leave females having male bodies I suppose and just do faces/voices/hair.

This community really is multiplayer Warband/Napoleonic Wars and Chivalry again with the aggressive and vocally misogynistic playerbase. Extremely disappointing.

I guess I can sort of understand that, would be nice to get an update/statement from the Devs on it though. Thank you for providing the only actual answer in this thread so far.

This game is meant to take place in the medieval era meaning that females never fought. The devs want to make the game accurate to the timeline as well as adding new and fun things to play with.
