But it does have a real issue in that if i parry slightly too late, so they get a hit in, and they do a combo, the cooldown in order to parry again is longer than the combo time, leading to the scimitar effectively having 60+ damage in "one" move.
This is something that could also be solved if parrying was held like in chiv2, but that kind of gameplay is a bit more boring to me since it rewards being passive too much.
I also think they should deal even less damage to heavy armour, Isn't it ridiculous for it to kill someone in heavy armour in as many hits as a greatsword?(torso hits) wouldn't it be reasonable for it to have lower damage against it to the point where they have equal DPS? If not even lower, due to the scimitars cutting edge being made for fabric and flesh?
This is just an aside, my view on the weapons in mordhau as a whole:
Add a longer delay between when a weapon is "released" and when it starts dealing damage.
The only easily learned indication that a casual player(counting myself among those, even after 500+hours) has to read feints is listening for the grunt.
To me there is nothing more annoying than seeing someone start an attack, me then trying to analyze when the weapon has entered the "release" phase(by carefully watching the animation) to avoid falling for a feint and then parry, only to find myself blocking after they have hit me due to the weapon either already being inside my hitbox at release, or due to my reading of the animation being incorrect.
If listening for the grunt to tell when the weapon is released isn't what the grunt exists for, then the grunt simply shouldn't be there in the first place.
I've been trying to get friends to play mordhau, Even friends who enjoy games like dark souls and other slashers with dodging/parrying mechanics where you have to analyse what the opponent is doing at all times, but after around 10 to 80 hours they all give up, due to the unreasonableness of the release indicators
Same is true for pretty much every bladed weapon we see portrayed in the game, damage is simply not realistic in Mordhau.
If you ask me scimi is not as broken as it is annoying, as it encourages spamming and gambling. Messer or zwi feel way more unreadable and broken compared to scimi.

Cleaver and falchion stabbing do have a sense. Yes fists vs armor should be nerfed too indeed.
Your father was goofy not teaching you how to argue politely with adults.
Might as well go with a War Axe.
