Extremely slow download

I bought the game and for some reason the download for this game specifically is extremely slow. Any thing else I try to download via steam runs at my normal internet speed but as soon as I swap to Mordhau it tanks to around 1/100th of my download speed.

Same thing for me, the game won't download at the normal speed. In addition when I launch it, it always crashes maybe 10 minutes later. It mean that I can't play to it...

I bought the game a long time ago and it never happend, maybe it is because of a new update.

Sometimes it can be disk access/cpu that slows things down. You could check the disk usage while downloading to see if this is the case, it can have a big impact especially if the disk is almost full and, apparently, Steam may use other drives (such as a HDD) if the current drive is low on space.

Sometimes hotfixes are ~26MB (which obviously downloads lightning fast) but then they take a good 10 minutes to apply.

BTW< not aimed at anyone in particular but if you are having crashes you should verify the game files (do it more than once if it finds nothing first time). This seems to be a common and successful solution.

All 3 of my drives are SSD's and I am installing into my largest one. My disk usage is hovering around 2% while downloading.

It does seem like this issue sort of goes away if I keep downloading for a bit. After letting it run for like 2 hours the game started downloading at a more normal speed.
