it's still the last thing this game needs.
I miss the days when the game was first released before people tried exploiting and confusing people, the game actually felt more like medieval fighting now it is fast devolving into just another Chivalry sweat fest.
By feinting yes.
By spinning around, glitching out your animations and etc, no, that ♥♥♥♥ just makes people get pissed off with the game so the more of that ♥♥♥♥ means the faster the player base drops.
Go into any dualing server and you'll see lots of people trying to glitch out the animations to hide what the REAL animation is actually doing.
I'm ok with getting fooled by a feint or late feint or whatever but it's very cheap and game breaking when people try and exploit the animations.
As for the spin spamming it happens a lot with the axe users and it can be extremely frustrating when you go to stab them and they suddenly spin around and knock your head off.
To me it sounds like you want to be one of those try hard axe spinners.
I can accept the ole bait'n swing where you run away from your enemy and do a 180 just after you start swinging or whatever it was but 360 spinning get far too obnoxious and game breaking but it sounds to me like you want to try and break the game and cause more people to leave the game than already are.
Some games develope higher skill sets through misuse of the game mechanics a prime example is Gunz the duel. It was created with a completely different idea for combat but players took advantage of cancellations and general weapon mechanics to form unique and aggressive play styles.
I don't see an issue with the current battle mechanics but I've only made it to lvl 20 so I don't have that much time on the game yet.
Give it time, you'll eventually notice it. It took me sometime before I noticed it too.
Admittedly though in the earlier days of this game the fights were pretty satisfying and the game felt as close to medieval combat as I think any game has gotten but than people started exploiting the game a few months after it was released.
I remember grabbing the 'protector' class because it looked like a Templar and feeling very accomplished and happy when I maced my first guy on mountain peak.
The duels felt nice and smooth. Everything just felt better.
Readable anations.
No feints and morpgh spam
No one asking how to spin 360° in forums...
U could join a Frontline server and it would feel fluent and just so immersive.. no naked men with pans, clubs, a war axe, rocks, or spamming fire bombs everywhere.. everyone looked and behaved like they were a medieval soldier..
Those were the days... (Literally, it only lasted that way for like a week.. then people began using peasants, and that color glitch)
Yeah its sad what this game has devolved into.
On release it felt like the closest any game has ever gotten to feeling like real medieval combat, and although I sucked badly I still played it because it just gave me too much satisfaction.
These days although I still find it feels closer to medieval combat than chivalry ever was the game is slowly but surely turning into chivalry lightweight where you have trying to exploit every single broken portion of the game possible.
I mean the other day I had people glitching into the skybox above camp on Taiga and spamming it.
Of course this game wasn't meant to be realistic, that however doesn't excuse nor make it right to do behavior that just pisses people off and causes people to leave the game.
I mean T3 is pathetically weak, three strikes by most weapons and you're dead when realistically even getting hit by a 3kg zwei three times wouldn't kill you unless an enemy stabbed through the gaps in the amour or hit you in the head hard and even than it'd only knock you out.
Again, it sounds like you wish to be one of those 360 spinning ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that do anything and everything to try and break the game to gain an edge whilst pissing everyone else off and causing the player base to decrease.
No what's driving people off is a combination of terrible servers, bad map balance, no in game balancing. no better of ways of dealing with greifers and people trying their best to exploit the game like you're trying to do.
And I'm not even been toxic here, I'm just telling you part of what's causing people to leave the game, you're the one that's been a bit more toxic here refusing to acknowledge that exploiting the game is part of the reason why people are leaving this game fast.
