Its about time we deal with archers

Ive said it plenty times before, if archers are left unchecked this will turn into counter-strike with a melee option. Currently there are no counters.

My suggestion: Buff the hunter perk. So the faster bow can kill archers more easily. Or drop the speed/dmg on both bows. But allow archers to kill each other instantly.

This is just one game, but this will be the norm soon enough.

parrying arrows at close to medium range is guesswork. No learning involved. And yeah sure let me just use a shield forever just to counter something that takes no skill to use in the first place. you archer players really are adorable.

I'm not an archer, but I've never had an issue fighting archers.

What exactly do you mean when you say fighting archers? Because it's not a two way street. When an archer is shooting at you you aren't fighting them back. They hide behind their teammates and lob arrows at people. or they sit up high in hard to reach places. When these are the circumstances (almost always) you aren't fighting archers, you're hoping they miss. You're basically at their mercy. Was just playing a couple of minutes ago. holding an obj against nobody but three archers, who aren't even on the obj. i died (obviously) i died to people who didn't even have to get on the obj to protect it... And I can't get off the obj to fight them... basically sit around and hope they miss. This doesn't make for fun gameplay. Also played a bit of archer about an hour ago (I never play archer) went something around 28-15. Easiest game of my life. it was fun i'll admit. Doubt it was so fun for people on the recieving end of the arrows though... Not saying we should nerf bows themselves. Just make a limit of about five archers per team. Archers should exist to kill other archers, horses, catapults, ballistas etc. They shouldn't exist to make the average players life miserable.

1. Get better at the game, switch targets when needed
2. Go after archers when they shoot at you, take cover if you take too much damage
3. Seems like you enjoy archer more since you're obviously better at it, why not play it?
4. Archers can shoot whoever they want. A full team of archers would get stomped by a full team of 3/3/3 greatsword players who know how to play the game.

2.Can't go after archers if i'm trying to cap an objective
3.Not better at archer, archer is just so easy to play that despite never playing it I led the lobby with it.
4.Winning means near nothing, don't care who wins the game. Just don't want 90% of my deaths to be archer related.

It's not your job as a melee fighter to kill archers behind enemy lines, that's your team's archer's job. This is why Hunstman exists.
Frontline is a team based game mode and you can't expect to be able to do everything yourself. If you are constantly taking potshots from enemy archers, switch to archer yourself and deal with them while your team mates capture the objective.
Archers by themselves are completely helpless against a team pushing the objective in a group bigger than 4, much less if they have enemy archers to deal with as well.

Let's not pretend like Bowmen in Mordhau are even half as powerful as those in Chivalry, you are just salty cause some archers peppered your bottom while your team had no archers to call their own.

And I really do get sick of the idea that i'm supposed to change my play style to accommodate something as lame as archers. "just use a shield" "just hide behind cover" "just switch to archer" I hate archers and your recommendation is to play archer. laughable at best. "archers by themselves are completely helpless against a team pushing the objective in a group bigger than 4" Hypothetical situation that has never happened before. Point is they are never by themselves, they are always with teammates. So I have to fight and be shot at helplessly while doing so. Chivalry vets despise archers in Chiv and Mordhau typically. They ARE as bad as Chiv because there is no limit to them. Chivalry had a limit of four archers per team. The idea that i'm salty because of a one time event where archers were left unchecked and killed me is pretty funny though, nice little made up story you got there. Strawman arguments are always fun. I have 400 hours in this game. So that's 400 hours of me hating archers. Not a one time event. And actually I can expect to do everything myself (unfortunately i have no choice most of the time), I don't have much of a problem with fighting multiple players at once and taking objectives largely by myself. Not bragging but when you play Chivalry for 2k hours and Mordhau for 400 you're not bad at the game. Which is exactly my point, it's frustrating being at the mercy of level 4s who don't even have to get in range to kill me. Anyway, i've spent a sad amount of time arguing with randoms on the internet which wasn't my intent when i joined this discussion. i wanted to voice my opinion in the hopes devs might see this and do something about it.
