Not seen the one in Warband but wouldn't be surprised. I don't know if you are expecting originality from supposedly 'realistic' medieval games but they're generally going to look very similar. Quite impressed with Mordhau's variety though.

You can find a lot of same things in games that have historical equipment. You can't copyright something that existed in history. If everyone can use the sallet and the zweihander, they can also use the teutonic winged helmet. If it was an original creation though, things would be different.

im pretty sure its loosely based on the teutonic knight helmets even though its never really confirmed if the teutonic even wore them into battle or at all :)

From a quick search, teutonic helmets with family crests (like the one we have) were used by some Teutonic leaders and generals. These helmets were not common. They were mostly ceremonial and sometimes they used them in jousting tourneys.
