If they parry/riposte your parry/riposte you have to immediately repeat the sequence. You can add other variables to the equation like movement, feints and kicks. It's like chess.
I didn't even mention chambering, which adds another thousand potential combos to all of the above.
You need to mix up your attacks so that the opponent can't predict what you're about to do. If you always use a riposte, of course they'll know how to counter it. People aren't bots, and some might be even smarter than you.
What he means is that ripostes aren't a guaranteed hit.
Also, riposting is CRAZY for 1vx
Well if you really want to win a riposte battle every single time, just use the sledgehammer, it will drain your opponent´s stamina to zero before you, just be aware that you might actually fight against good players that wont fall to your trick of endlessly bashing at each other until you bash their weapon off their hand and slam them to death with the sledge
