Riposte..
useless 99% of time doesnt work, i use it , it doesn't hit them, they always manage to block it.

It's a trade off. Theoretically if both players are parrying and riposting with perfect aim and perfect timing, the chain can go on infinitely.

If they parry/riposte your parry/riposte you have to immediately repeat the sequence. You can add other variables to the equation like movement, feints and kicks. It's like chess.

I didn't even mention chambering, which adds another thousand potential combos to all of the above.

Its not a guaranteed hit. Nothing is a guaranteed hit in this game. Everything has a counter. That's why the combat is so deep.

It would be too easy if it was a guaranteed hit.
You need to mix up your attacks so that the opponent can't predict what you're about to do. If you always use a riposte, of course they'll know how to counter it. People aren't bots, and some might be even smarter than you.

Ripostes always "work," so must be user error. Also stab ripostes kill at least 60% of your typical Frontlines baddies, for those that do parry it, don't riposte, morph them instead. If that doesn't work, chamber them. If that doesn't work, chamber morph them. If that doesn't work, drag. If that doesn't work, double feint. If that doesn't work, gitgud.

What he means is that ripostes aren't a guaranteed hit.

no ONE ability will win you in this game, be it reposting, chambers, morphs, stabs, whatever. The key to success is mixing them up and learning what works.

Also, riposting is CRAZY for 1vx

Ripost is very good in 1vs2+ to punish over-eager enemies trying to hit you.

Well if you really want to win a riposte battle every single time, just use the sledgehammer, it will drain your opponent´s stamina to zero before you, just be aware that you might actually fight against good players that wont fall to your trick of endlessly bashing at each other until you bash their weapon off their hand and slam them to death with the sledge
