Scavenger Perk?
Is the scavenger perk worth it in a scavenger build? I enjoy my scavenger build quite a bit because it allows me to use a different weapon each time I fight instead of a dedicate type, and I've been working on refining it to my playstyle recently. And, something I've noticed, is that I don't really put the scavenger perk to much use. At least, not to my knowledge. I have had it on since I made the character, but every time I've won a fight the person was holding their main damage weapon, which can be picked up with or without the scavenger perk-- The only bonus is the secondary weapons or kit, which often aren't worth much. You don't see many people run in with extra bandages and the like that makes it worth it.

I've also found it kind of odd that despite being a scavenger with the perk, you don't pick up the quiver when you pick up ranged weapons- I feel the perk would be much better if it made it so when you pick up a bow, instead of getting three arrows as usual you get the quiver as well. I think that would add some use to it.

That all considered, can anyone offer points for the scavenger perk that makes it worth going over a more useful 1 point perk for the scavenger build?

I'm also curious as to what scavenger builds people usually go- Personally, my most used is 3-3-3 + Quarterstaff + Bloodlust + Scavenger. Although I often swap the staff out for a lute for the fun of it until I get a weapon. My friend prefers to go 3-3-2 + Bloodlust + Dodge, no weapon. Although I don't know if dodge is worth going in with no weapon and less leg armor. An alternate I -have- considered though, is 3-3-3 + Bloodlust + Brawler, no weapon. Although I feel like the brawler perk is useless once you get a weapon, so.

For a scavenger build i go 3/3/3.
No weapon (there are enough lying around or pick one from a fight).
No scavenger perk( useless)
No dodge perk (heavy armor doesnt let u dodge far)
No bloodlust and other kill boosting perks ( to much cost and if you pick your engagement wisely u wont need it anyway.)
Choose the rest of the perks u like.

I feel like most of the other perks aren't very useful, with Bloodlust/Dodge being two of the best and the others being more situational for specific builds and such. Bloodlust kinda feels mandatory if you plan to fight more than 1v1's consistently, it's too useful. But that's just my opinion on it.

So dodge-length is actually effected by armor? Didnt know that.

Personally i see no real use for scavenger perk, same can be said about a some of the others too, like the jump perk.

I too have a scavenger build and I noticed as well that it's pretty meaningless because the enemies drop their weapons when killed anyway. I think I'll drop it and maybe pick up a cheap starting weapon so I won't be ganked with my fists out.

I'm quite fond of my main build (3-3-3 + Bloodlust + Lute), if I drop scavenger to get a different 1 cost perk or item, what should I pick up? I don't really need an alternate weapon, but I think bandages are only 1- if they're worth getting. Are there any surprisingly useful 1-cost perks?

To be fair its not exactly tested hehe its just that youre to slow to move back in to actually make use of the dodge and only loose more stam than with a parry.

I always go witj tenacious to get faster into fights again but i doubt u need that with bloodlust. So bandages are unecessary too.
Get friendly then, ure at least save from madly swinging teammates when picking up weapons.

Bandages are pretty good on builds with spare slot and better than tenacious, also you are not always one doing final blow or enemy denied you heal with flesh wound perk.
