That is a serious question, because the Poleaxes higher damage on average is thrusting, but still has reasonably solid slash damage. It is the more well rounded weapon.
Bardiche has some real bonkers slashing damage, and it's alt mode isn't nearly useless like the Pole axe's (But that's because "Blunt deals more damage vs armor!" modes are a joke). But it's thrusts are a joke, so it ends up being a lot more predictable when not getting those sweet "Swings so wide you cut the head off an enemy not even on screen. In third person." kills.
Comedy but also serious reasons: The bardiche gets good cosmetic options. The Pole axe gets seven different heads equally as boring as they are hard to see anywhere but the character creation screens.
Bardiche is a weapon that fits the mentality of the loudest people in the fanbase better, while also being an honestly great weapon.
But I'm always more scared of people who are able to make good use of the poleaxe. Because even if the last poleaxe thread I saw made was someone asking "Why is the poleaxe so WEAK?", it's rock solid even in spite of it's blunt side alt grip being a joke.
But yeah, Bardiche is the most "pure helicopter" friendly polearm.
