Are there pay to win perks?

Im level 33 dont pay for anything besides base game but i've continually noticed other players unreasonable response times. Just logged off because i hit guy mid swing but yet he continued swing through me and teammate? re read ever perk in hopes maybe something but nothing. So guess i could look but can i buy perks?

Idk man. I think you're in for a storm posting this thread. But I have to say I've scratched my head a few times also when hitting an enemy and their attack still follows through and hits/kills me. I never suspected what you are, but it definitely makes me scratch my head.

There are no paid perks or DLC in this game, what you saw was a Riposte.
Ripostes have super armor, so you can't interrupt those by hitting the player first.
You can identify a riposte because they can only be performed right after parrying an attack or by using shield wall. They also have no windup animation so they look different from regular attacks.

I reccomend playing the tutorial before jumping into a server.

So I just redid the training to make sure before I spoke, nowhere in training does it tell you that ripostes are unblockable or give you super armor, but thanks for letting us know.

Huh, i was pretty sure i learned all about ripostes in the tutorial.
They are not unblockable though, they are only uninterruptible

They also changed the chamber window for them, so it should be easier to chamber a incoming riposte, but it's still very risky
