how to delete downloaded mods

after i joined a server it automatically downloaded a lot of mods, and now the game always crashes on startup

I don't want to reinstall the whole game, because I'll loose my settings, that I'm used to..

I would assume, verifying files would fix broken stuff

if not uninstall the game, delete the files left over and then reinstall.


OKay, so mods should be stored in the Mordhau>Mordhau>content>paks folder I believe

In that folder I got following files:

pakchunk0-WindowsClient.pak
..
till
..
pakchunk37-WindowsClient.pal

the files are all 23gb together

are these all mods? can I delete them all?

You can uninstall your mods by signing in mordhau.mod.io with your steam and then unsubscribe from all mods. You can also do it from the game menu - there is a "manage mods" tab. Last resort you delete the mods folder from Mordhau directory.

i was basing that off of a mod guide HOWEVER i did find a folder labeled mods in the game
Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau\Content\.modio\mods

I also have 24 gb of paks file so don't do that.

thanks, I deleted all files in the mods folder and now game works fine, damn gotta watch out what server I join next time, can I turn off auto mod download somehow?

I stuck to official servers, community servers most likely download mods. I guess there might be a pop up to accept them or something, I never really dealt with community servers. There is a mod manager than the mod mentioned so that might be worth checking out.
