How am i supposed to avoid bear traps?

I mean when i climb up the stairs and i find a freaking bear trap at the end of it how can i avoid it?

Crouch and walk over them.

Otherwise if you're climbing a ladder and would step on it as soon as you're at the top, you can use a one-handed weapon to swing at it to trigger it.

Every time I laugh, shake my head, and love this game. Especially when some scoundrel is waiting to stab my fallen self and spam laugh and insults whilst doing so - +1
