Single Player
I know the game is pushing toward Large PvP battles, but how is the single player elements? For us that dont like other people drama is the AI enough to satisfy the fights, and is there a progression for single player adventure?

There is a horde mode (coop vs ai.) Which is literally survival. You can create your own server and fill it with bots too.

Fyi to gain gold and experience you need to matchmake. But luckily horde gives good amount of exp and gold.

Single player is not worthwhile in this game.

You can play solo vs bots in offline mode but you get 0 rewards. You'll be getting no gold/experience so you will never be able to buy new equipment.

So you'll be forced to play pvp if you want to buy new equipment and change your character load out... But good luck with that. There's not enough servers available and it takes way too long to even join a game.

Nobody is forced to play pvp. You can play horde (coop) to get exp and gold. 10-15 minutes of horde rewarded me with around 300 golds. Which means 1 sword.

(In horde teammates cannot damage you)

Sorry just to clarify this, you can play Horde (co-op) but just on your own with bots? And does that mean it's you versus all or do you get AI team mates?

I didn't try custom game for horde.

Although for frontline (team objective/rush mode) you can both have bot teammates and bot enemies.

Custom games do not grant you gold and experience. If you are okay playing coop with other players (pve) you can get gold/exp from horde matchmaking. Once you get gold for some weapons. Then you can enjoy your immersive gameplay alone with bots in frontline.

Fyi You have to unlock weapons to use them (all weapons can be easily unlocked in 18-20h of gameplay) a longsword is around 300-600 gold a match in horde (10-15m) gives you around 200-300 gold.

Also You start with 2500 gold after tutorial. Enough to have a decent weapon set.
