Mordhau is a Swordfighting FPS game.
Because if we're going that way, all these games + For Honor are Mount & Blade clones.
For honor is a completely different game, with completely different focus, this 1st person, no lock-on, no different characters etc, a better comparison would be Chilvary or even Mount and Blade.
I dont want to be rude, but have you even watched the trailers?
(this is a completely different kind of combat)
This plays more like a shooter with melee weapons. I assume you're not familiar with this particular niche genre, but it's also a little like Vermintide if you've played that. While timing and the raw sort of reflex skills you use in these games is still a factor, it's much more lethal all around than For Honor, there's no gearscore ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, there's no fighting game combos or specials. It's higher on verisimilitude, and has appropriately deeper weapons mechanics. You can swing around with a poleaxe, you can stab with it to better capitalize on its reach advantage, or you can flip it around and hit with the spike, much the way you would use alternate fire modes in an FPS.
Not early access. This is full release. :D
Then you, and those people, are crazy and/or blind o.O
They are not even remotely similar beyond "they have melee combat"
